A second figure connected to the assassination of John F. Kennedy has died within the span of a few days. James Leavelle, the Dallas detective who was memorably photographed handcuffed to Lee Harvey Oswald when he was shot in 1963, died Thursday at the age of 99, The New York Times reports.
